THE JUDGES

Cinzia Masetti Fedi Sgorbati

(Italy)

Together with my husband Sergio we have been breeding Labradors for 30 years under the Dolphingham affix. We have always shown and worked our dogs and we are delighted  for the 53 titles acheived during the years.
Being interested in both sides of the Retriever world, in 2007 I became International judge for Field Trial for Retriever and International Show judge for Labrador.
I have judged several trials and working tests in Italy and abroad and have always had great pleasure and satisfaction in doing it.
I’ve been named selector for the European Cup for Retriever in 2009 and for the ICC in 2016.
I have judged three times the Italian Retriever Championship, and run it three times with my dogs.
I am honoured to have been asked by the Italian Retriever Club to judge again this important event and I’m sure I will see excellent dog work.
Best of luck to all competitors and organization!

Wendy Glue

(Wales)

I have been training and competing Gundogs for the last 10 years. I have been incredibly lucky in that time to have had great success with my first dog, who I had numerous Open Trial awards with and who taught me so much. I was able to make up to a FTCH my second dog at 3 years old and qualify him for the IGL Championship in 2017.  This year he has just been placed 2nd at The IGL. I feel very fortunate to have such a wonderful dog in my kennel.
This year I was part of the Welsh Gundog Team at the CLA Game Fair in July and The Anglesey Game Fair in August.
I have been a B panel judge for 3 years and have judged several Open Stakes, but this is my first judging appointment abroad and I feel very privileged to have been invited to judge The Italian Retriever Championship.

I’ve become Judge for spaniels and retrievers in 1993. Since then I’ve judged several trials in Italy and abroad, including the European Cup for Spaniels and Retrievers. I’ve been appointend twice selector for the European Cup for spaniels by ENCI .
I’m honoured to have been invited by the RCI to judge this prestigious event.
Best of luck to all the competitors!

Hi Everybody I’m Jamie Bettinson A panel Judge and Vice Chairman of the IGL Retriever Society. I’ve been working Labradors for 20 years and I’m on my 4th FTCH .
I’ve run in the IGL Championship over numerous times, gaining a third place and a diploma of merit. I’ve also ran in the Skinners World Cup test event numerous times, winning it 3 times for Wales. Also I’ve ran for Wales in the CLA gamefair nearly 10 times, gaining top dog with FTCH Levengly Peacock .
Last year was one of my best seasons winning Trialing Dog of the Year with FTCH Cynhifa Ladislav. Being the only Welsh person to ever win that Kennel Club trophy.
As well as running Labradors I also judge, being a A panel for 10 years .I’ve judged the IGL Championship, Irish championship, Skinners Word Cup and the CLA gamefair. Plus every club society in Great Britain.
My biggest passion is training people and getting them to do well. I hold classes from March until September for novice to open and for tests and trails. I also travel around the Country doing mobile training for all standards.
So, at this point, I just like to say I can’t wait to meet some old and new friends.
